About the role
As the Assistant Centre Manager, you will partner with the Centre Manager to:
- Implement and monitor Aurrum Kids Quality and Compliance Program.
- Follow all child protection policies and procedures and support and guide the team in through this process.
- Undertake tasks as directed by the Centre Manager while stepping into the Centre Manager or Educational Leader role during their absence.
- Contribute to the QIP and identifying identify service improvement areas.
- Conduct tours and liaise with the Enrolment team.
- Participate in daily family meet and greets.
- Engage with families and the community and coordinate events.
- Develop and adjusting the roster and daily roster management to ensure all rooms adhere to ratio requirement.
- Social media management where required.
- Assist with building occupancy – Marketing.
- Be an active member of the Senior Leadership team.
Ideal background of the candidate
- A relevant qualification in accordance with the Children’s Services Regulations - Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Knowledge and commitment to the Quality Improvement Plan and National Quality Framework & Standards.
- Demonstrate commitment to providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental and supportive environment for Educators, children, and their families.
- Demonstrated proficiency with a range of IT systems including Microsoft Office suite and childcare specific systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create, maintain and enhance relationships.
- Team management and experience in a leadership role would be advantageous, although not a must.
To be successful in the role you will need to provide the following:
- Evidence of Australian Working Rights (Visa/Passport/Birth Certificate)
- Evidence of relevant education transcripts
- Working with Children Check (WWC) or state equivalent
- First Aid Certificate including CPR & Asthma & Anaphylaxis
- Child Protection Certificate
- Police Check
